You just can't beat good weather in a region that is known to be very wet. You learn to make every sunny day count, and that's what the motor pool crew did again today.

We have accumulated quite a bit of stuff that we have no need for and today was the day for some spring cleaning. There were two big bed rails that were totally warped, but had brackets that we may need later so they had to be removed before the rest went to the scrap yard. We also needed to get two bed ribs off of a piece of plate steel we need, so that was the start to the day.

As usual when you mention taking anything apart Stewart shows up with his torch, but after a debate soldier A convinced him of a more surgical way to remove the brackets.

Once all the extra weight was ready for the recycle yard, the team focused all its energy on cleaning rust off the trailer chassis.

With the threat of afternoon rain, we did the cleanup one section at a time and coated things as we went. This time we tried something a little different and shot all the cleaned areas with rust reformer instead of etching primer, the theory being that anything we could not get off with the tools would be handled by the rust reformer.

We also got a visit from V who had some awesome new tactical zombie killer knives that will be offered at the rolling monster truck display this weekend.

We had a phenomenal time at the Bonney Lake Days this past weekend! What a showing of local business and community.

Our next event is in support of the Enumclaw Pro Rodeo; we will be in Buckley set up on the corner of SR 410 and Park Ave right across from Wally's White River Drive-In. For all of you local shoppers come grab a gourmet burger and shake across the street and then stop by and see us and the monster truck. We will be there with paracord products galore..we have been busy replenishing the inventory and filling custom orders.

OK! For all those who have seen the movie "PRIMAL FEAR" we have lost time. This weekend was spent at the Bonney Lake days and it was totally awesome!

DW, the main man in charge, has an excellent crew and this festival was run tight as anyone could imagine. Things were so clean and professional that you could almost eat off the grass. There was non stop entertainment and everything was right on que. This has been our best vending experience to date. Thanks to all the BLDs crew.

There were other things that made this outing fun as well. Soldier B got to drive V's truck in the parade that kicked off the festivities on Saturday and we all know how much she enjoys the heavy steel. V had to work but that meant we were all safe and he did get to have his truck in the car show. Ironically he was the only one smart enough to get pictures. Seems Soldier A thought Soldier B was taking photos and vice versa so we ended up with no pictures of our own.

At the end of the day that's OK because V, stud dog that he is, also got to hang with the Sea Gals on his bike. This was a great weekend and we really thank everyone that came out!

So, for the last two days we have been hangin out on the corner in town peddling our wares and letting Matilda strut her stuff for the kids and lovers of great American iron. The weather was great this weekend, compared to the log show and it just felt great to be outside with Mrs. H and big trucks.

We also got visited by V both days, out there busting his ass to keep us all safe, as usual.

On a side note, we are way behind on postings so bear with us and we will catch up on all the fun events that have been going on.

Great day again today! Got a visit from V with good news on fuel sources. We also got our last display built and painted with the base coat and first texture coat. There was also a lot of motor pool area maintenance to be done, and it ate up a lot of the day, but we will recover tomorrow.

Today we were getting a few things done around the motor pool setting up for the next few days, as soldier B will be on vacation and that means extra hands.

This afternoon V came by with a new oil filtration system he designed and built for recycling fuels for his new bobber. We forgot to get pictures but we will add them when we get some.

We also got a late afternoon visit from Mrs. H and little T, just to hang out and down a few beers. Always a good time here at the motor pool ;-)

WOW! Today was really one of those good news bad news kinda days.

Let's start with the good. V came to visit today driving his new toy. It is an awesome bobbed deuce with the drop down side bed, custom built for him by the guys at Idaho Motor Pool. This rig is bad ass and V is like a kid with a new Tonka truck. Literally! The smile on his face was ear to ear when he pulled up.

V's visit was the highlight of our day, but other issues were a real bummer.

As we started to clean up the frame for the big top display, we had a catastrophic tool failure. Two of the Ryobi lithium ion batteries burned up in the grinder. Had they actually exploded, soldier A would have been burned extensively. So, we are done with Ryobi tools and going to stick with the old faithful DeWalt.
