Weather was awesome today, and we tried to make every minute count. The frame for the big top part of the rolling display is almost figured out. It is starting to look like something cool. We did not get as much done as needed but the weather is going bad for several days again now, so we are on hold again.

Well the day started a bit slow. We really couldn't tell if the weather was going to come around and cooperate or not, so we took the grocery getter into town for some hardware for the display frame and a few extra groceries. By the time we got back to the motor pool and assembled the minions the sun was out and we started to get things done.

We got the cross member closest to the cab cleaned and cut to size, as well as the bolts laid out and welded into place. On the floor everything seems to fit just right, but we will really know after the first setup takes place. With luck, that will happen tomorrow.

At the end of the day, Stuart was very happy with the progress.

Good weather, good progress. Even though we had to make a rather lengthy supply trip to town today, we still managed to get the four uprights bolted into the stake bed holes and the structural lengths tacked to them to create the supporting structure for the big top frame.

The weather is supposed to get better through Monday, and we are going to make the best of what we can before the rain comes back on Tuesday. With luck we'll have some awesome photos tomorrow. This thing is gonna be awesome.

On a side note, for a brief moment we thought we might have sold V's willy's today, but no luck ;-(

FINALLY! Finally the weather breaks and we can get outside and do some real work again. So, today we got to start the big top display frame on the back of the grocery getter.

All of the steel for the frame was already in house at the motor pool, but after being mothballed for more than a year, it has to be cleaned free of the rust accumulated here in the wet air. So, that adds a great deal of man hours to the project. All of the frame uprights got cut and cleaned before the end of the day. Some of the twelve foot stuff got cleaned too, but this is a big job.

The next three days look promising weather-wise, and we hope to gain some serious yardage on the display project.

Stay tuned friends!

Today we have a real treat for someone looking for an awesome project. V has sent us some photos of the willys project that he is selling. The truck in the shop is a 1964 with a good title and new brakes. It has an odd fire v6 and there is a full parts donor truck that goes with it.

This thing could be fucking awesome once complete. V only wants $1000.00 for everything.

Somebody needs to jump on board and save this piece of history. If anyone out there is interested, please contact us via the blog and we will help get you connected to V.

Well the motor pool has been getting busy again, and today we had some visitors. V, one of our awesome local LEO's (law enforcement officers) for those that are trying to keep up  ;-)  came over to share the good news that he has ordered a bobbed deuce from Idaho Motor Pool, one of our recommended vendors.

So, he has the deuce fever now, hahahahahahaha!

We also got a drive by from little T, and he is getting to build a new race boat. All great news today! The inventory for the fund raising project continues to grow and we are waiting for the weather to cut us a break so we can get the rolling big top constructed.
