Days are getting better and better. Today saw more parts painting as well as some really cool building stuff.Since we are adding an awesome new slot car race track to our widening selection of entertainment attraction, it was time to get started on the track table and bases. We started with the construction of the table top and found that the one inch foam wasn't goin to be stiff enough, so we added some sections of two inch underneath to increase the rigid strength. Epoxied and weighted down the top should be ready for the next phase by Sunday.
We had to stop and cut a bit of fire wood, but then it was on to the portable bases for the track. Lots of cutting, sanding, and routing produced an almost complete first base. It will take two to hold the race track top. More progress tomorrow.
